Licence and Fundraising

All our musicals can help you raise funds for your school and we would like to make this aspect of your production more successful by keeping our charges as reasonable as possible. A licence for one performance is included in the cost of a production pack. This covers ONE performance for up to 150 people in a school venue. Larger performances in commercial venues are not covered by the free licence. Please contact the publisher for a quote. We allow you to photocopy or reproduce our lyrics to create song-sheets or overhead transparencies. The script may NOT be copied. Further licences are required for additional performances whether or not you charge for admission. We would expect to receive around 12% of nominal ticket revenue whether or not a charge is made. A licence is required for making a video of your performance.

If you are raising funds for a charity, we may waive additional licence fees for performances on consecutive occasions. Please contact us for details.

'Block' licences (such as PRS or CCL), which may be held by your school/ group/LEA, do not cover performances of our musicals, licences for which are only available from the publishers. Performing Firesticks and Song musicals without our permission is illegal.

The revenue (royalties) raised from Performing Licences is the main source of income for writers. If intellectual copyright, which is protected by law, is not respected and royalties not paid, then there is no incentive for writers to produce new materials.
